TDOT: SR 116 to be closed 3-4 weeks

TDOT says that a section of State Route 116 in Anderson County that was washed away by a landslide is expected to remain closed for the next 3 to 4 weeks.

TDOT officials said Monday that loose material is being cleared from the site and the roadway will be replaced by a rock buttress. The damage occurred during last week’s torrential rainfall.
