Flooding among concerns after massive rainfall

Schools in both Anderson and Knox counties closed today due to widespread illness, but in Anderson County, one reason for the closure was concern over the effect that last night’s torrential rainfall might have on area roadways.

Flooding and high water across roads was reported in numerous locations in Anderson County, and a landslide on Highway 116 in Briceville between Indian Fork Lane and Bunch Cemetery, closed the road while crews worked to repair the damage.
