November, December busy at your Clinton Public Library

(Clinton Public Library press release) The Clinton Public Library’s next Fandom Friday will take place November 30th from 5:00-6:30 p.m. This month will be Mystery Night! This month, they are featuring all mystery fandoms including Sherlock Holmes, Scooby-Doo, Nancy Drew, Clue, and more. Join the staff for themed snacks, activities, and a murder mystery game. Costumes are encouraged!

Join the Children’s Librarian for the monthly Sensory Story Time on Saturday, November 24th, from 11:00-12:00 p.m. This program is designed to meet the needs of children with differing abilities. This month the theme is family time! All children are invited to come and participate. They will engage in hands-on activities along with stories and music. An accompanying adult is necessary for this program.

The library features computer classes for all ages and varying skill levels. Join our tech trainer Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. or Fridays from 12:30-1:30 p.m. for a computer class. These include classes on the basics of computers, understanding mobile devices, various social media outlets, ebooks and online materials offered by the library, and more. Each week changes topics so pick up a calendar, visit the Library’s website, or check out their social media pages to find out when the computer classes you are interested in will be offered.

Coming up in December, the Library will continue its new program, Cookbook Club, on Monday, December 12th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The featured book for December is Paula Deen’s Celebrates! Select the dish you want to bring and sign-up at the front desk.

The next Food for Fines at the Clinton Public Library will be Monday, December 3rd through Saturday, December 8th. Bring in one non-perishable food item and they will forgive a dollar of your fines. The donated food will go to a local non-profit charity.
