No-Shave November comes to ACSD

(Anderson County Sheriff Russell Barker Facebook post) As many of you know, No Shave November was created to raise cancer awareness and help fund programs like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It is a cause that many of us are passionate about. As law enforcement professionals, we play a vital role in our communities and have a voice that can help with causes such as this.

With that being said, Sheriff Barker has suspended current facial hair restrictions for those willing to participate in our version of No Shave November. Participation requires a $15 cash donation. For those in divisions that allow facial hair beyond a mustache are required to pay the $15 donation or they must shave until the program is over.

At the end of the month, funds received by the participants will be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
