HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL SCORES TUESDAY NOVEMBER 27th

Clinton girls 70 Karns 43…Four Lady Dragons hit for double figures as Clinton pulled away from a plucky Lady beaver squad to win their home and District opener.

Karns came out early and looked nothing like the team that had lost 57 consecutive games dating back to 2016, taking an early lead, but Clinton quickly re-established control and pulled away starting midway through the first quarter.

Danyel Joy led the way with 18 points and eight steals, while Nikki Jones notched 16, Abbie Stinnett added 12 and Alaijah Whitt tallied 10. Clinton improved to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in District play while Karns fell to 0-4, 0-1.

Clinton boys 57 Karns 53…Clinton rallied back from a 12-point first-half deficit, then hung on down the stretch to win their fourth straight game. Luke Harrison led Clinton with 16 points, while Evan Winchester scored 14–including several key free throws late–and freshman Jackson Garner scored 11 points. Clinton is now 4-1, 1-0.
