Tennova to honor breast cancer survivors

Breast cancer survivors are invited to decorate Tennova Healthcare’s Breast Cancer Survivor Tree with a special ornament to honor them. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the tree will stand as a symbol of hope, strength and encouragement to those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The celebration will take place on Tuesday, October 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Tennova Breast Center at North Knoxville Medical Center, located at 7551 Dannaher Drive in Powell, TN. The event will feature light refreshments and live music.

“Our patients inspire us so much with their courage and grace,” said Janine Mingie, director of the Tennova Breast Center at North Knoxville Medical Center. “This is just one way for us to celebrate their lives.”
