CCSO K9 ‘Cowboy’ retires

On Monday night, the Campbell County Commission recognized a five-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office upon his retirement. Cowboy, a black Labrador Retriever, also served two tours of duty in Afghanistan as a bomb-detecting dog for the US Marine Corps.

Cowboy will retire to the home of his handler, CCSO Captain Jeremy Goins.
