UPDATED: Meredith, station receive signed apology letter

As we have reported, Anderson County Law Director Jay Yeager apologized to WYSH owner Ron Meredith for comments he allegedly made to several county commissioners and other officials that left those that heard them convinced he had accused the “Ask Your Neighbor” host of attempting to improperly influence a bid on a county contract.

Yeager made the apology during last week’s meeting of the Legal Services Advisory Committee. During that meeting, he also pledged to apologize to Meredith and the station in writing.

Meredith’s attorney confirmed that the signed letter had been delivered Monday morning (May 21st), well before the 5 pm deadline.
