Cancer Society kicks off Relay for Life season!

Has your life been touched by cancer of a loved one or yourself?  Are you interested in joining our community in making progress against this terrible disease?  If so, please join us to celebrate the start of the 2018 Relay For Life season in Anderson County by attending the  American Cancer Society Kickoff Party on Thursday evening, March 1st from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Calhoun’s on Melton Lake in Oak Ridge.

You may drop in anytime during that time to learn about how you can become involved in the “Festival of Hope”, which will be held at Melton Lake Park in Oak Ridge on Friday evening, June 15th from 5:30 to 10:30 PM.  You may enter a team in this Relay For Life event, participate in the Twilight 5K Run/Walk or just come to enjoy the festivities that evening.  This is a great opportunity for the community to come together in a fun, family-type atmosphere as we work together towards a cancer-free world.

There will be light food provided at the Kickoff Party.  RSVP is appreciated for attendance, but is not required.  You may reach ACS Staff partner, Sally Pekar at 584-1669 or email at cptcklenz@aol.com to RSVP.  Bring your family and friends and join our community as we work together to eliminate cancer from our lives!
