Fire at vacant LaFollette house

Firefighters from the LaFollette Fire Department battled not only flames, but also sub-freezing temperatures Wednesday night.

A report of a house fire at a home on East Fir Street came in at around 7:30 pm Wednesday. No one was injured and the house was believed to have been empty. So far, there has been no word on a cause for Wednesday’s fire.
