Marie Young Moore, age 96 of Rocky Top

Marie Young Moore, age 96 of Rocky Top, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at The Lantern at Morning Pointe in Clinton. She was born on February 20, 1921 to the late Arnold Webster and Bessie Gross Young in Campbell County. She was an excellent seamstress who loved birds, flowers, gardening, and crafts. She also enjoyed visiting her daughter in Florida. She was a longtime member of Clear Branch Baptist Church and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Moore.
She is survived by: daughters, Lois Adkins and husband Johnny, and Janice Rhea and husband Ronnie; brother, Charles Young; Grandchildren, Taunya Garrett, Derrick Gray and wife Tiffany, Arnold Adkins and wife Brenda, and Timothy Adkins and wife Alicia; Great-grandchildren, Kameron Garrett, Hunter Gray, Austin Woodward, Amberly Steward and husband Jacob, Aaron Adkins, Austin Adkins; Great-Great-grandchild, Henry Hester; Special Friends in Florida, Patricia Badman, Sue Riley, and Lynn Faulkner.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm with the Rev. Randy Norton and Rev. Logan Little officiating. Family and friends wishing to attend the Graveside service will meet at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 10:30am and will go in funeral procession to the Leach Cemetery for an 11am interment.
