Mavs dismantle Govs; Martin, Wilson post video game numbers

The Anderson County Mavericks opened up the home portion of their 2017 schedule with an impressive 56-16 shellacking of William Blount.

The Mavericks improved to 2-0 behind Stanton Martin, who only completed 22 of his 32 passes for 396 yards and a whopping seven touchdowns, five of which went to Dalton Wilson, who ended the game with seven total catches for 202 yards. Both Martin and Wilson are up for the WBIR Offensive Player of the Week awards and you can vote online at www.wbir.com.

Anderson County plays its first Region game of the year on Friday when they host Hixson from Chattanooga.
