Follow-up: More on State Cornhole Championships in Oak Ridge

(ACO press release) American Cornhole is bringing its high level of cornhole play to Oak Ridge, Tennessee June 16-17 at the Oak Ridge Civic Center.

Cornhole players will experience the best in cornhole tournaments as they head to Oak Ridge for the State Championship tournament in Tennessee for Season XII.

ACO State Championships are more like a festival of events than just a cornhole tournament. It includes Juniors, Seniors, and Womens events, the ACO Big Blind Draw, along with the main events – State Singles and State Doubles. The ACO is all about cornhole in a big way.

Prizes include a $300 guaranteed purse for the ACO Big Blind Draw tournament, and a $450 guaranteed purse for both the State Singles and State Doubles tournaments.

The ACO Big Blind Draw and State Singles will feature a cash payout to the top 3 players, an the State Doubles will feature a cash payout to the top 3 teams.

Players who wish to participate are required to be ACO members, but membership may be purchased as a walk-up.

Frank Geers of the ACO says, “The ACO is actively seeking out cities across the U.S. to host our state championships, and we believe we’ve found a great partner in Oak Ridge, Tennessee to host this season’s Tennessee State Championships in June. It feels like this could be the permanent home for future state championships.”

Oak Ridge Civic Center

Friday June 16th – Gates open at 4:00PM

Juniors, Women’s, Seniors – 6:00PM Bags Fly

ACO Big Blind Draw – 8:00PM Bags Fly

Saturday June 17th – Gates open at 10:00AM

State Singles – 11:00AM Bags Fly

State Doubles – 3:00PM Bags Fly

State Singles Final Four – 7:00PM Bags Fly

Note: Friday June 16th and Saturday June 17th there will be ACO Game Challenges, ACO Luck of the Draw, and pay as you play games happening open to the public and ACO players.
