Clinton pool set to reopen at noon Wednesday (today)

The city of Clinton’s outdoor swimming pool at Jaycee Park opened for the summer at noon Wednesday, one day later than planned.

The delay was caused by downed trees that fell during this weekend’s strong thunderstorms. One tree fell on the fence at the pool and left limbs, leaves and other debris in the pool, while a second tree damaged the main gate to the park.

City crews spent Tuesday making repairs and the pool reopened at noon Wednesday.

The pool is open Mondays through Saturdays from noon to 5:30 pm and Sundays from 1 to 5:30 pm.

Admission is $3 per person and $2 for seniors.
