CHS, Innovation Academy, ACHS seniors to walk Sunday

This Sunday, May 21st is Graduation Day for the Class of 2017.

Clinton High School seniors will graduate on Sunday at 1:30 pm at Thompson-Boling Arena on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. This year’s valedictorian is Karen Abercrombie and the salutatorian is Donovan Pinto.

Students will graduate from the online Innovation Academy at 3:30 at Thompson-Boling.

Anderson County’s 2017 graduation ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm at TBA with valedictorian Jackson Spurling and salutatorian Greyson Wilson.

In addition to Sunday’s graduation ceremonies, a special ceremony was held earlier this month during which 32 students earned both their high school diplomas and associate degrees from Roane State Community College through the Anderson County school system’s Middle College program.

The program is a joint venture between RSCC and the school systems in Anderson, Campbell and Roane counties that allows students to earn college credits while still in high school.
