Lee “Lee Roy” R. Reynolds, age 70, of Coalfield

Lee “Lee Roy” R. Reynolds, age 70, a resident of Coalfield left his earthly home on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his home while surrounded by family.

 

Lee Roy was born November 5, 1946 in Oakdale, TN.  He lived in Ohio for over 40 years  and moved back to Coalfield, TN.  While in Ohio, Lee Roy was an Iron Worker out of Iron Workers Local 290 in Dayton, OH.  He was a member of Oakdale Methodist Church since 1960 and had been attending the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Coalfield.  Lee Roy was a Mason and a member of the John W. Durst Lodge 716, and a Shriner.  He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, cooking, coaching basketball for 7 years, and watching westerns.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Reynolds Sr.; by his mother, Marie Reynolds; by brothers:  Clarence Reynolds Jr., and Donnie Reynolds; by sisters:  Carolyn Goad and Baby Bitty Reynolds and by brothers-in-law, Arnold Johnson, Glenn “Sonny” Hill and William “Bill” Olinger and sister-in-law, Pat Reynolds.

 

Lee Roy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rita Hill Reynolds of Coalfield; by children:  Ginger Renee Reynolds-Brandenburg of Coalfield and Cynthia “Cindy” Gwen Reynolds Harvey of Columbus, GA; by grandchildren:  Amber Jo Brandenburg, Jade “Bug” Renee Brandenburg, Autumn Frances Harvey, Joseph Lee “Joe Joe” Brandenburg; by sisters:  Betty Jane Johnson, Mary Fitzpatrick and husband, Jim, Julie Reynolds McGill; by brothers:  Joseph Reynolds, and William Reynolds and wife, Angie; by loving in-laws, Nellie Reynolds, Doug and Bev Hill, Larry and Wanda Hill and Linda “Judy” Olinger; by special friends Kristopher Reynolds, Mary Jackson, Randall and Barbara Justice and Jane Wilson and by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Friday, April 14, 2017 between the hours of 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Premier Sharp Funeral Home.  The funeral will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Lonnie Cook and Pastor Mack Smith officiating.  Burial and graveside services will be held, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton, TN.  Premier Sharp Funeral Home is proudly serving the Reynolds family and we invite you to share a message of condolence to the family at www.sharpfh.com
