Sports Update: Hoops All-State honorees; Thursday scoreboard

FIVE area high school basketball players have been named to the All-State Team for the 2016-2017 season.

Kaylea Foster of Coalfield made the Class 1A All-State squad, while fellow Yellow Jacket Parker McKinney was named to the Boys’ Class 1A squad, along with Dillon Fountain of Wartburg.  Webb School of Knoxville’s Chase Ridenour (a Clinton native) was named All-State in Division II-Class A.

Oak Ridge’s Taijon Jones was recognized as part of the Boys’ Class AAA team.
