Roane couple nabs alleged home invader

A Roane County man was arrested early Tuesday morning after a Harriman couple held him at gunpoint during an alleged home invasion.

41-year-old Homer Fox is facing several charges in connection to the incident, which began at around 3 am Tuesday when a woman woke up to noises from the first floor of her home. She locked herself in the bedroom and called her husband, who deputies say also had a gun, and the man called 911 and rushed home.

When he entered his house, he confronted Fox at the bottom of the stairs leading to the second floor of the home and he, along with his wife, held the man at gunpoint until deputies arrived and took him into custody.

Deputies also say that in addition to breaking into the couple’s home, he also burglarized the woman’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.
