Clinton man indicted on rape charges

(Information from Oak Ridge Today) Clinton Police made an arrest in a child rape case earlier this month after 27-year-old Jacob Alexander Adkins of Clinton was indicted by the Anderson County Grand Jury on two charges of child rape on December 6. He was taken into custody on March 2 on charges involving a child under 13 years of age.

At last check, Adkins was in custody at the Anderson County Jail on a $100,000 bond. Adkins pleaded not guilty during a March 13 arraignment.

The case was investigated by the Clinton Police Department.
