Caryville shooting wounds one

A shooting at a home in Caryville last weekend sent one man to the hospital.

Caryville Police say that they were called to a home on Elk Lake Lane Saturday morning a little before 10 am on a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they determined that the home’s resident, Truman Wilson, had shot his son Denny Wilson in the abdomen.

Denny Wilson was flown to UT Medical Center by Lifestar, where he is recovering after surgery and said to be doing well.

An investigation into what led to last weekend’s incident is being conducted by the Caryville PD and the District Attorney General’s Office. No arrests have been made.
