Thresa Qualls Langley, age 85, a resident of Rockwood, TN, passed away, Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Hospice House in Columbus, GA. after a short illness, while visiting her daughter.
Mrs. Langley was born August 15, 1931 in Briceville. She worked at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge and Palm Beach Coat Factory.
Thresa loved gardening, sewing, her pets and most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents: William Samuel Qualls and Hassie Qualls; by her husband, Fred Langley; by a sister, Helen Kirby; by brothers: Richard Qualls and John Qualls and by a grandson, Grant Russell.
Thresa is survived by children: Penny Osip and husband, Joe of Phenix City, AL, Steve Russell and wife, Lana of Betsy Layne, KY, Dan Russell of Morehead, KY, Sam Russell of Sod, WV and Phillip Russell and wife, Annie of Pikeville, KY;
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and by a brother, Doug Qualls and wife, Carol of Norwood, TN.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, August 30, 2016 between the hours of 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Premier Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. Burial and graveside services will be held, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 12:00 pm at the Old Petros Cemetery with Brother Bruce Gouge officiating. The family ask that memorial donations be made to the Hospice House in Columbus, GA 7020 Moon Rd Columbus, GA 31909.
