Incumbent Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck easily won re-election to that post on Thursday, easily fending off a challenge from John Daugherty. Dilbeck received 2873 votes while Daugherty received 1007, a percentage breakdown of 74% to 26%. Incumbent Property Assessor Brandon Partin was unopposed and received 3016 courtesy votes. …

In Roane County, Molly Leggins Hartup downed three opponents, including incumbent Property Assessor David Morgan, to win Thursday’s election. Hartup received 2966 votes, while runner-up Sammy Sams received 2235 votes, the incumbent Morgan who received 1353 votes and Danny Holloway with 1244 votes. Anderson County has received an $18,000 state clean energy grant. The project will consist of an LED lighting upgrade at the county’s Fleet Service Facility, Highway Facility, and Dickens Building, according to information from the state.
