James Lewis “JL” Braden, age 74, a resident of Clinton, TN, passed away, Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
JL was born September 1, 1941 in the Dutch Valley Community of Anderson County, where he has continued to live.
Mr. Braden enjoyed UT Football, Lady Vols Basketball and he was a Nascar fan.
JL is preceded in death by his father, Houston Braden; by his mother, Edna Baxter Braden; by brothers: Floyd, Ralph, Clyde, Gene, and Wiley “Buck” Braden and by a sister, Joyce Ann Kennedy.
He is survived by sons: James Braden and wife, Crissy of Ringgold, GA, and John Braden and wife, Kelly of McDonald, TN; by grandchildren: Kristen and Jordan Robbs of Chattanooga, TN and Tara Braden and fiancee, Gage McNabb of Ringgold, GA; by a sister, Shirley Brock and husband, Henry of Dutch Valley and by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 between the hours of 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Premier Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother George Smith officiating. Burial and graveside services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Dutch Valley Methodist Cemetery.
