OR man indicted in domestic incident

A 51-year-old Oak Ridge man was indicted earlier this month by the Anderson County grand jury on charges that he choked his girlfriend, threw a table and stool at her and then fired several gunshots in her direction while they were inside a home in Oak Ridge.

John Hartman is free on bonds totaling $100,000 on the reckless endangerment and aggravated assault indictments returned May 3 by an Anderson County grand jury.

According to warrants, the incident occurred Dec. 6 at a home on Illinois Avenue. Investigating officers reported finding several bullet holes in the ceiling, walls and window of the living room as well as evidence the woman had been choked.
