Norman (Corky) Luther Burdette, age 74, of Kingston, went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 20, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born October 27, 1941 in Dayton, Tennessee and attended Rockwood High School & Kingston High School before moving to Illinois to work for General Motors. After retiring from Electro-Motive in Hodgkins, Illinois, he moved back to Roane County and was a member of Rockwood Rotary Club and The `2000 Club. He was also a member of Southwest Point Baptist Church and had sung bass for various gospel groups over the years. Corky loved going to auctions and flea markets and was an avid sports fan. Preceded in death by his parents, Lee Edward & Lottie Pendegraph Burdette; brother, Junior Burdette; sister, Naomi McNure; brother-in-law, Everette Plemons.
