LaFollette street to be closed on Friday nights

City officials in LaFollette say that they will be closing a stretch of North Tennessee Avenue between Shelby’s Alley and Mill Street on Friday evenings to accommodate large crowds at a popular nightspot. Katie’s Restaurant features live music on Friday nights and crowds have gotten so large that they are planning to hold their concerts outdoors.

That stretch of North Tennessee will be closed Fridays from 5:30 pm to approximately 10 pm and bands will perform on the sidewalk in front of the eatery, where tables and chairs will also be set up for patrons to enjoy some music outdoors.
