Teresa Diane Strickland, age 63, of Kingston

Teresa Diane Strickland, age 63, of Kingston, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born August 1, 1952 in Sweetwater and has been a resident of Roane County for most of her life. Teresa was a machinist welder, retiring from TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant and was a member of the Machinist Local of Chattanooga. Teresa loved to laugh and as her children would say, she just loved life. She enjoyed seeing the beauty of nature in flowers and loved visits to the beach, dancing and playing cards. She also had a deep love for her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Roger Vann Strickland; parents, Edwin & Ruth Rose Humphreys.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday, April 4, 2016 at Southwest Point Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm, in the church sanctuary with Bro. Gage Patterson & Rev. Larry Bolden officiating. Graveside service will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, at Kingston Memorial Gardens. Online register book can be signed at www.FrakerFuneralHome.net . Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of all the arrangements.
