Medic in ‘desperate’ need of blood donations

Medic Regional Blood center says it is in desperate need of blood donations because it is low an all blood types. Officials say that the shortage meant they were not able to fill some hospital blood orders on Thursday morning. Visit www.medicblood.org to find a local blood drive in your area or stop by either of Medic’s fixed donor locations on Ailor Avenue in Knoxville or on Kingston Pike in Farragut. You can also call 865-524-3074 for more information.
