Larry P. Carver, age 69, of Harriman

Larry P. Carver, age 69, of Harriman passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born October 27, 1946 in Freedom, Maine and had been a resident of Harriman since April, 2013. He was a member of First Christian Church in Harriman and also a member of the VFW in Harriman. Larry was a United States Army Sergeant who served his country proudly as a heavy equipment engineer. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and loved working on small engines. His second love was taking care of his beagles, Addie and Rufus. Preceded in death by his father, Theodore G. Carver; son, Richard Carver and step-grandson, Ted Roberts Powell.

Full military honors will be held 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 East Governor Hwy., Knoxville, Tennessee 37920, conducted by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
