Fatal wreck in Campbell

A single-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning on I-75 North in Campbell County killed one Ohio man and injured another. The crash happened shortly before 3:30 am Tuesday morning when investigators say 32-year-old J.D. Daniel of Dayton, Ohio was driving a Chevrolet truck northbound near mile marker 160 in Jellico. 89-year-old Purce Daniel, also of Dayton, Ohio, was the passenger in the truck, which drove off the right side of the roadway and hit a guardrail. The THP says that the impact caused the truck to go airborne and roll several times before coming to rest in a ravine.  Purce Daniel died at the scene.  Both men were wearing seat belts and troopers reported no signs of drug or alcohol use.
