3 arrested in Tuesday morning robbery

Three people were taken into custody on charges connected to a robbery Tuesday morning in a mobile home park near Clinton.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department, a 22 year old Clinton man flagged down a passing deputy on Laurel Road near Cedar Grove Lane around 9 am Tuesday to report he had been beaten and robbed by four people, three men and a woman.  The victim told deputies he had stayed overnight with one of the men and the next morning, was offered a ride by another man. However, instead of giving him a ride, he was severely beaten and robbed of money, prescription drugs and his cell phone. The victim said he was familiar with the three men and identified them as his attackers while providing a description of the car they were driving.
