XFS: Busch takes checkers in Atlanta

(MRN) Sprint Cup Series drivers made it two-for-two in the X-FINITY Series this season when Kyle Busch rolled to victory Saturday in Hampton, Georgia. Following Chase Elliott’s win a week before in Daytona, Busch – who started from the pole – led a race-high 119 laps at Atlanta Motor Speedway including the final ninety-one trips around the mile-and-a-half oval. His margin of victory over Kyle Larson was a half-second with rookie Erik Jones, Paul Menard and Ty Dillon completing the top five … Kevin Harvick finished twelfth in his bid for a fourth straight A-M-S win. Elliott Sadler started sixteenth and finished ninth, holding onto first place in the X-FINITY Series standings. He’ll carry a three-point advantage over Daniel Suarez into the next race next weekend in Las Vegas. Suarez finished seventh on Saturday afternoon … The race included just five lead changes among four drivers: Busch, Brad Keselowski, Jeb Burton and Justin Allgaier.
