TTE expanding OR facility

An Oak Ridge company has started work on an expansion of its facility that could create up to 20 new jobs over the next three years. Tennessee Tool & Engineering is expanding its facility in the Bethel Valley Industrial Park by some 10,000 square feet in order to meet a growing demand for its products. The 45-year-old company is expanding its High Pressure Die Casting division and plans to invest $5 million in the project, which will allow the company to install three more 700-ton cast presses and machining equipment. An expansion of the company’s Emory Valley Road location is also slated for 2018. TTE, as the company is known, makes high-pressure die-cast aluminum components for the automotive and ATV industries. TTE currently employs over 160 people.
