High school basketball round-up January 26th

An almost-full slate of high school basketball was played on Tuesday. The Clinton Dragons’ and Lady Dragons’ games at Campbell County were called off due to the persistent winter weather conditions and the makeup date for that doubleheader has not yet been announced.
Here is how the games that were played went.
In Oak Ridge, the Oak Ridge Lady Wildcats knocked off Anderson County 48-40. The Lady Wildcats were led by Mykia Dowdell’s 16 points while the Lady Mavs were led by Brooklin McCoy’s 20 points.
In the nightcap, the 7th-ranked Wildcats manhandled the Mavericks 79-31.
Elsewhere, Oliver Springs’ girls fell on the road at Sequoyah 55-31 while the Oliver Springs boys outlasted Sequoyah 67-66 in overtime.
