Rocky Top reminds citizens housing discrimination illegal

(Submitted) Under the Fair Housing Act, it is against the law to discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin related to housing activities. These activities include:
the sale or rental of housing or residential lots;
advertising the sale or rental of housing;
financing of housing;
the provision of real estate brokerage services, and;
the appraisal of housing
Anyone who feels he or she has been discriminated against may file a complaint of housing discrimination by calling, toll-free, 1-800-669-9777. This is a public service message brought to you by the city of Rocky Top.
