Campbell authorities investigate woman’s death

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman who was found with an apparent gunshot wound on Wednesday night. Deputies responded to the 600 block of Quail Run lane in Lafollette at around 10:30 pm Wednesday discovered her body and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was sent to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. At this time, authorities have not released the victim’s name, pending notification of her family members. The investigation is ongoing.
