BBB: Harriman fire chief out

The city of Harriman fired its fire chief on Monday, according to our partners at BBB-TV. Last week, City Manager Kevin Helms suspended acting Fire Chief Brad Goss with pay while investigating complaints lodged against him by the firefighters under his command. City officials have not released too many details of the complaints but say they centered primarily on his seeming inability to manage personnel, which led to low morale in the Harriman Fire Department. After a pair of meetings since the suspension was handed down, Goss was fired Monday. Goss will remain on for the next two weeks, long enough to help facilitate the change in leadership to Assistant Fire Chief Brad Daniels, who will serve on an interim basis.
