Arrest made in Dollar General robbery

Anderson County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators along with agents from the 7th Judicial District’s Crime Task Force arrested a 19-year-old Claxton man on Thursday afternoon in connection to last weekend’s robbery at the Dollar General store on Edgemoor Road. Christopher Logan Finch was arrested without incident Thursday and is facing charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and theft in connection with the robbery that occurred on Saturday October 24th at around 10 pm. In the incident, he is accused of threatening a clerk with a knife, reportedly poking her in the shoulder with it, and demanding money. After a second employee opened the register, Finch allegedly fled on foot with about $375 in cash. Finch is being held at the Anderson County Jail on bonds totaling $155,000.
