ACSD nabs Georgia fugitive

Anderson County Sheriff’s deputies apprehended a fugitive from justice on Sunday. The report does not indicate how he was located but 49-year-old Ralph Larry Merrill was taken into custody at a home on Brushy Valley Road on a warrant from Catoosa County, Georgia on a charge of child molestation. Merrill, whose home address is listed as the home where he was arrested, indicated that he would not fight extradition back to Georgia to face the charges, and he was taken to the Anderson County Jail for holding until authorities from Georgia retrieve him.
