AC Lady Mavs take District title

The Anderson County Lady Mavericks won the District 3-AAA volleyball tournament Wednesday night at Halls. AC cruised through the semifinal round, sweeping Gibbs 3 games to none, and squared off against Oak Ridge—themselves 3 game to one winners over Halls—in the title match. Anderson County won the championship 3-1 over the Lady Wildcats. Both teams qualify for the Region tournament and await their opponents from District 4, where the championship will be decided tonight.
