High school football polls for week 6

The week six high school football polls were released on Monday and here is how teams from our area (and those they may face in the postseason) stacked up. In Class 6A, Maryville remains atop the poll with Dobyns-Bennett at #6, Science Hill at #8 and Bradley Central at #9. Class 5A continues to be dominated by teams from this area, with Morristown West at #2, Farragut at #3, Ooltewah at #4, Oak Ridge at #5, Knox West at #6 and Sevier County at #9. In Class 4A, Fulton and Greeneville remain at #1s 1 and 2, respectively, with Central falling one spot to #8. Alcoa has moved to the top of the 3A poll after CPA lost on Friday. CAK is #3, with Pigeon Forge at #9 and Kingston cracking the top ten at #10. In Class 2A, Austin-east moved up one spot to #9. In Class 1A, Coalfield moved up one place to #4 in the state while Greenback is hanging on at #10.
